Message from Music Director Jonathan Brennand

Dear FVSO Community:

The FVSO enters its fortieth season in this unusual year.  We made the decision to cancel and postpone live performances for the foreseeable future in order to ensure the safety of audience members and players.  This season, like no other, will be largely a silent one.  However, we greatly anticipate the opportunities to perform for you in the future and, when feasible, we may stream recently recorded performances of smaller ensembles.

We have postponed the celebration of our fortieth season until 2021-2022.  There are special events planned including the rarely performed Second Symphony of Mahler (the Resurrection) and a festive Gala event.  We also plan to present the premier performance of movie music expressly written for a full length Buster Keaton movie, composed by William Perry.

The Orchestra Board and members are grateful for the continued support of its active partners – advertisers, sponsors, donors, subscribers and concert-goers.  The FVSO is a non-profit 501(c)(3) and all donations are tax deductible.

We extend our heart-felt thanks for your support and engagement with the FVSO!

Cordially,

Mike Galluzzo

FVSO Board President
