Dear FVSO Community,

We regret to announce the cancellation of our March 6th Concert at Hoffman Auditorium, University of St. Joseph. We know this comes as a disappointment to many and hope to reprogram elements of this program in our June Pops Concert and next season.

The FVSO Board acted in response to the safety concerns of its players, staff, volunteers and audience members due to the current surge in Covid-19. We have followed the data carefully and are encouraged by the downward trend in infections and hospitalizations. Nevertheless, the virus is still circulating at a high enough rate to pose a challenge for the resumption of rehearsals and performances at this time.

We plan to resume performances beginning on April 24th with a chamber concert at the First Church of Christ Congregational, 1652. This program is open to all vaccinated individuals.  There will be no admission charge with free-will donations welcomed.  On May 22nd, the FVSO will perform its scheduled classical concert featuring music by Tchaikovsky, Mozart and Haydn. We look forward to seeing you back in the concert hall. Please also be sure to join us for our June Pops concert on the lawn at First Church of Christ in Farmington.

We wish you and your family continued good health during these times.

Thank you for your continued support of the Farmington Valley Symphony Orchestra.

Cordially,
Mike Galluzzo
FVSO Board President
